McKenzie & Co. is this week celebrating the appointment of Senior Civil Engineer, James Dufty to the role of Director.
A stalwart of the land development scene in New Zealand, James has worked for McKenzie & Co. since shortly after its inception, 7 years ago.
The move can only be described as a well earned and well overdue appointment, says Managing Director and founder Clayton McKenzie.
“The move to Director is in recognition of James’ standing within the industry and the field of civil engineering in New Zealand.”
“James is an asset to McKenzie & Co. team, motivating and managing teams across various projects. But it’s his skill in driving and negotiating complicated projects across the line under the toughest of circumstances. Most recently he’s been involved in one of the most involved Resource Consent packages I’ve seen in my career”, said McKenzie.
Having spent time earlier in his career in the Middle East where he was involved with several international landmark projects, James acquired extensive experience in civil engineering design and construction as well as project management.
McKenzie & Co. has grown exponentially from a one-man band to employing over 70 people across five office locations across the North Island, says James.

James will be joining existing Directors Clayton McKenzie, Dr Andrew Hunter, and James Kitchen in leading the company into the future.
