SKILLS REQUIRED

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in land development and subdivision design

  • Minimum of 6 years land development experience required
  • Suitable tertiary qualification, e.g., BEng or BSurv
  • CPEng or RPSurv qualification beneficial but not essential
  • 12D and AutoCAD experience preferable
  • Strong understanding and experience using NZS 3910:2023
  • Capable technical report writer and presenter
  • Very strong people management skills and experience
  • Comfortable with both flexibility and structure
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Very strong relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine “Can Do” attitude.

SURVEYING roles

Intermediate - Senior Survey Technician - Auckland

With offices in Auckland, Warkworth, Taupo, Tauranga, Rotorua and Queenstown, you’ll be part of an 70+ strong team of expert surveyors, civil engineers, project managers and development advisors.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Survey Technician role supports Surveyors and Project Leads with the day to day survey needs of projects. They perform their role in accordance with McKenzie & Co, purpose and missing being ‘to develop great places and people’. You will do this whilst working collaboratively to provide excellent surveying services for projects undertaken by McKenzie & Co.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years PQE
  • BSurv or National Diploma of Surveying
  • 12d and AutoCAD
  • Can demonstrate “good survey practice”
  • Can work autonomously and manage your own workload with ease, can communicate directly with clients and project leads within the company
  • Can comfortably manage survey assistants, and organise day-today-tasks (equipment, staffing etc.) efficiently
  • Comfortable with both flexibility and structure
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly planful and organised
  • ‘Can do’ attitude
