As we conclude a successful 2025, we are proud to reflect on a year of significant growth and achievement at McKenzie & Co. A big demonstration of this growth is that our team expanded by 13 members, growing from 76 to 89, enabling us to undertake more projects. We’ve collated our top five highlights of the year, while there’s certainly more that come to mind, here are the big wins:
- Surf Park Groundbreaking: After over 18 months of meticulous engineering work, we broke ground on the Aventuur-backed surf park project, marking a major milestone in our portfolio.
- End-of-Year Celebration: We celebrated another remarkable year with our dedicated team, acknowledging our collective achievements and setting our sights on the opportunities ahead in 2025.
- Queenstown Expansion: Since its inception in 2023, our Queenstown office has continued to thrive, attracting new talent and enhancing our capabilities to support regional growth. A big thank you goes to Rob Stewart for all his work in the area, and even making time to support the local environment.
- Welcoming New Interns: We welcomed three new interns, Esther Yang, Digby Turner, and Denny Woo, fostering the next generation of industry professionals. We are delighted that Denny has since joined us as a Graduate Engineer.
- Client and Industry Success: We have continued to build strong partnerships with our esteemed clients and industry colleagues, delivering outstanding results. Notably, we hosted our inaugural Property Development Seminar, with plans to expand this initiative in 2025.
